Neiman Marcus Dip

Not sure about the name of this dip, but it was certainly flavorful... How can you go wrong with any kind of dip that is going to include bacon in it?? You can't! This didn't make a huge amount, but with all the other goodies that I had set out for my bunco group, I was glad that I didn't have any left at the end of the night. I set out an assortment of crackers to snack on with this dip and it tasted fantastic!

Neiman Marcus Dip
(Recipe found on pinterest via food.com)

1/4 cup sliced almonds (I subbed in pecans since I had them on hand)
4 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled and cooled
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 green onion, sliced thinly
1/2 cup mayonnaise

Preheat the oven to 350. Spread almonds or pecans on a cookie sheet and toast for 10 minutes. Let cool. Combine all ingredients until well mixed. Serve with crackers or apple slices.

Brownie Batter Dip

This dip was DELICIOUS!! It was another recipe that everyone was asking for... I mean, how can you go wrong? It is basically a cream cheese frosting - made chocolate! I paired this with nilla wafers, pretzels, animal crackers and strawberries - huge HIT!! Definitely will be taking this with me again some time.

Brownie Batter Dip
(recipe found on pinterest via stickafork.net)

8 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 tablespoons butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
5 tablespoons flour
5 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2-4 tablespoons milk
Chocolate chips for garnish (optional)

Pretzels, strawberries, marshmallows, graham crackers, animal crackers, or apples for dipping

Using an electric mixer, whip the cream cheese and butter together until light and fluffy, about 1-2 minutes. Add the powdered sugar and mix well. Add the flour, cocoa powder, brown sugar, vanilla and 2 tablespoons milk. Mix until smooth. Add additional powdered sugar or milk if needed, until the desired consistency is reached. You want the dip to be soft enough to easily dip a pretzel without breaking it, but stiff enough to hold its shape and not be runny. Garnish with chocolate chips, if desired.

Simply Sinful Dip

This recipe that I found on pinterest was called Simply Sinful and oh it was... It was so tasty and yummy, warm or cold! This was my contribution to the super bowl party that we went to and there wasn't a bit left to bring home. I guess the score of the game made us all huddle around the food a little more then usual! :) I served mine in the bread, with a couple kinds of crackers on the side to go with it. I also doubled the recipe and it still all fit in the bread bowl that I made. It went fast, so I would definitely recommend doubling it!

Simply Sinful Dip
(recipe found on pinterest via anniebakes.net)

1 (8 ounces) sour cream
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/3 cup ham, diced
1 green onion, chopped
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
Hot sauce, to taste
Salt and pepper, to taste
french bread

Preheat oven to 350. In a medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, except french bread; stir until well blended. Cut a thin slice from the top of the bread, then scoop out the rest of the inner bread, leaving about 1/2 inch of bread around the inside of the bowl. Fill the bread loaf with the dip. Wrap with foil, set on a baking sheet and bake for about 1 hour. Serve with the reserved bread from the middle, crackers, chips, fritos or on cocktail rye.

Chili Con Queso

This is the last of the new recipes that I made for my bunco night at my house. I have been wanting to try this queso recipe for a while, but as much as I love cheese I knew that I would probably eat way too much of it! :) This is a healthier version of a dip that I love to eat when we go out to restaurants and although it is a bit of work to make at home, it is totally worth it! I made mine up and threw it in a small crockpot to keep warm when everyone got to my house.

Chili Con Queso
(recipe found on pinterest via eatingwell.com)

2 teaspoons olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup pale ale, or other light-colored beer
1 1/2 cups low-fat milk, divided
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 3/4 cups shredded sharp cheddar
1 (10 ounces) can diced tomatoes with green chiles, drained
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon chili powder
Cayenne pepper, to taste (optional)
1/4 cup sliced scallions
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook, stirring, until soft and beginning to brown, 4 to 5 minutes. Add beer and cook until reduced slightly, about 1 minute. Add 1 cup milk and bring to a simmer. Meanwhile, whisk the remaining 1/2 cup milk and cornstarch in a small bowl. Add to the pan and cook, stirring vigorously, until bubbling and thickened, 1 to 2 minutes. Reduce heat to low, add cheese and cook, stirring, until melted. Stir in drained tomatoes, lime juice, salt, chili powder and cayenne (if using). Serve warm, garnished with scallions and cilantro.

Beer Dip

This recipe makes a huge batch, which is both good and bad... Good because this dip is so yummy that you want to keep eating and eating it. Bad because this dip is so yummy that you want to keep eating and eating it! :) I made this for our girls weekend and left half of it home for the guys... They didn't end up getting it all eaten, so the gorge fest continued when we got home and saw that there was some left! This is perfect with pretzels and tasted fabulous (in case I had mentioned enough times how good this dip is...)

Beer Dip
recipe found on pinterest via www.ladybehindthecurtain.com)

4 (8 ounces each) packages of cream cheese, softened
2/3 cup beer
2 envelopes ranch salad dressing mix

Pickle Dip

I seem to have a really hard time getting pictures of the food that I take to parties... I think that it is usually because I am trying to do way to many things at one time, right before a party. I mean, get dressed, finish my creation that I am bringing, pick up the babysitter, usually try to get something in the kiddos bellies before I leave and the list goes on and on! :) I definitely need to find a way to be better organized with this part of partying it up, but if all I am missing is a picture of the food that I am bringing - dang it, I'm doing pretty well!

So, I love pickles!! Dill pickle chips? Right up my alley... Dill pickle sunflower seeds? Love 'em! When I found this dip I couldn't wait to try it. It was super yummy, if you like pickles! Easy to throw together, with not a lot of ingredients... it was great!

Pickle Dip
(recipe found on pinterest via homemadebyharper.wordpress.com)

2 (8 ounces) packages cream cheese
16 ounces sour cream
32 ounces jar of jalapeno babies, finely chopped
1/4 to 1/2 cup pickle juice
garlic salt to taste

Mix sour cream and cream cheese together. Add pickles and pickle juice to mixture. Add garlic salt to taste. Enjoy with your favorite potato chips!

Cherry Cheesecake Dip

This was a delicious dip that was so incredibly easy to make... I mean come on 3 ingredients?? All I had to do was throw it all into a bowl and mix it up AND it was tasty! There is a packet of graham cracker crumbs that are in the box also and I think that this dip would be even better with the crumbs either added into it or else rolled in it. I would definitely buy a bigger tub of cool whip if I was going to do this because it got a little thick with the small tub of cool whip that I bought.

Cherry Cheesecake Dip
(recipe found on pinterest via http://joyinthetruth.blogspot.com)

jello no bake cheesecake mix
tub of cool whip
1 can cherry pie filling

Combine packet of cheesecake mix and cool whip. Chill in fridge for an hour. Top with cherry pie filling and serve with graham crackers, animal crackers, nilla wafers, etc...
